Frequently Asked Questions
NEO THE ONE is an exceedingly hard, lab-grown crystalline compound of silicon and carbon. Carbon just like a diamond.
Through a thermal growing process that consists of an equal number of cubic and hexagonal bonds with a stacking sequences of ABCB. The process is complex and expensive, therefore restricting mass production.
There are a few criteria for colorless gemstone comparison (See Chart Below), NEO outclasses all others on almost all indicators:

DISPERSION creates a gemstone's "fire," and it's the property by which light is spread out according to its wavelengths (colors) as it passes through an object. NEO's dispersion is 0.102 and can be calculated scientifically. NEO displays 2.30X more dispersion or fire than diamond (0.044) and much higher dispersion than Ruby (0.018), Sapphire (0.018), and Emerald (0.014).
LUSTER is the appearance of a gem when it reflects light directly to the eye. NEO's Luster (20.4%) is 1.18 times higher than Diamond's (17.2%)
HARDNESS measures a gem's resistance to scratching. NEO is durable and tough, and it is extremely resistant to scratching and abrasion.
Diamond is the hardest gemstone used in jewelry, but NEO with a hardness of 9.50, is harder than all other gemstones including Ruby and Sapphire, and it is the best diamond alternative!
NEO gemstones are produced within precise specifications and the highest quality control standards. The Certificate of Authenticity ensures that every gemstone is an original product that has been made in controlled facilities by highly skilled professionals using the newest technology. NEO-created gems are released for sale only after having met rigorous quality control standards.
gemstone is examined for inclusions that may affect a gem’s optical performance using a 10x loupe
NO! More than that, NEO THE ONE comes with a Limited Lifetime Warranty which guarantees that every NEO gemstone will preserve its brilliance and sparkle for its lifetime.
Yes! NEO does grade on the GIA (Gemological Institute of America) Color Grading Scale.
Yes! NEO will test positive on a Thermal Diamond Tester. It will also pass the most common Transparency and Fog Tests.
THERMAL DIAMOND TESTER measures the amount and speed with which heat travels through the gemstone. NEO will test positive on diamond testers because of the high carbon content, and similar to Diamond heat indication.
FOG TEST iamonds efficiently conduct heat, hence disperse it immediately.
If you hold the NEO gemstone between two fingers and breath on it, a light fog will form on it because of the moisture and heat in your breath. NEO, same as a diamond, disperses the fog right away. A fake diamond takes several seconds for the fog to evaporate.
TRANSPARENCY TEST
A diamond refracts light so strongly that you can't see through it. If you place a gemstone flat side down onto a newspaper page and you can read the letters on it even if the letters are a bit blurry, it's most likely not a diamond. NEO's facets will refract and change the light so sharply that you wouldn't be able to see the print, therefore passing the transparency test.
YES! NEO gems are visually indistinguishable from high-grade mined Diamonds, and it is nearly impossible to differentiate them without magnification or special equipment. You can wear your NEO Jewelry with confidence as only you will know it is an Eco-friendly, ethical diamond alternative.
While round brilliant continues to be the most popular cut for NEO, fancy cuts such as cushion, heart, marquise, oval, pear, princess, radiant, emerald, tapered baguette, half-moon, and trillion are also available in limited quantities.
Yes. NEO has heat resistance qualities superior to many other jewels. Tests prove that at 1100 C (higher than the equivalent intensity of a house fire), NEO remains intact and as brilliant as the day it was created. High heat tolerance makes NEO gems less likely to experience heat damage during jewelry repair.
We have a couple of reasons for that:
The standard measuring unit of a Diamond is Carat (1 carat = 0.2 grams). However, NEO is slightly lighter than a diamond because it is less dense and makes the two gemstones hard to compare by weight. For example, a 6.5mm round cut diamond weighs 1.0ct while a 6.5mm round cut NEO weighs 0.97ct. To avoid any confusion, we sell our gemstones by their actual size in mm, and the Diamond Equivalent Weight in carats (dew).
Also, NEO is listed in millimeters because it is easier for a jeweler to order our gemstones in millimeters to determine the size needed for mounting.
Because of its rarity, unmatched beauty, and patent protection, we expect NEO to preserve or increase in value over time
We can assure you that NEO is an ethical, beyond conflict-free, and super environmentally-conscious option in today’s market.
